Marketing & Media Advisor, Impact Producer
Simone is an integrated marketing strategist and Emmy-nominated producer of issue-driven media. She is the president and founder of For Impact Productions, a strategic advisory practice dedicated to social, commercial, and policy change through visual storytelling. Simone is known for creative and strategic leadership with keen abilities to connect the dots and people across sectors, and is often referred to as a ‘rare talent’. She has served in a number of executive roles, including Vice President for Corporate Communications at MTV, Director of Communication and Marketing at Rainbow Media/Cablevision, and Vice President, External Affairs for Taproot Foundation. She began her career in public policy at the at the U.S. Department of Labor and on the advance team for Clinton/Gore ’96. Today, she counts a swath of visionary projects, organizations, and initiatives among her clients including the highly acclaimed, Emmy- nominated feature film THE TALE starring Laura Dern, Ellen Burstyn and Common distributed by HBO Films; THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING featuring Geena Davis, Meryl Streep and Shonda Rhimes, and the Emmy- nominated CNN Films hit ESCAPE FIRE: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare. Simone is on the leadership team and faculty for the Stony Brook Killer Films MFA in Film program, serves as Chair of the Advisory Board of the preeminent professional association New York Women in Film and Television, and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Producers Guild of America. In 2019, she received the Cynopsis Top Women in Media Award in Community Building and joined the advisory committee for the JCC NY Social Justice Film Festival. Simone is a frequent media industry speaker on equality and the impact of visual storytelling on positive social change and holds a masters degree in public affairs and policy from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy.
