Kim Brooks

Strategic Initiatives Leader

Kim Brooks has more that 20 years of experience driving strategic initiatives for leaders in the nonprofit and private sectors. She has served as Chief of Staff of the Walton Family Foundation, built a grantee organization for the Pew Charitable Trusts and directed corporate partnerships for the International Center for Research on Women. She also was a founding member of the teams that established the Social Sector Office of McKinsey and Company as well as the Strategic Initiatives group that drives critical projects for the global leadership team of Mars, Incorporated. Throughout these experiences Kim has onboarded and transitioned senior leaders, crafted critical conversations and learning experiences for management teams and boards of directors, driven institution-wide change initiatives and led research that transformed corporate and public policy agendas.

Kim has a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College at Columbia University, a master’s from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and she completed a program in International Management at the University of Oxford. She is passionate about gender issues and therefore serves as Vice Chair of the board of Population Action International, is a special advisor to the International Center for Research on Women, and regularly mentors female talent at all stages of their careers.
