Brian Ackerman is Engagement Manager at The Tembo Group, where he manages daily client interaction, workflow, timelines, and deliverables. Prior to joining The Tembo Group, Brian spent over a decade in advocacy, management consulting, and media. In 2016, Brian co-founded Archetypal Media, a boutique agency specializing in institutional partnership development, digital marketing, and creative services for nonprofits focused on reducing health disparities. Before that venture, Brian spent a decade in Washington, DC advocating to improve young people's access to sexual and reproductive health resources at Advocates for Youth, consulting on higher education marketing and enrollment strategy at Education Advisory Board, and developing innovative advertising solutions for universities and nonprofit organizations at Foreign Policy magazine. Along the way, he did his graduate research in political geography at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro studying civic participation spaces in Brazil and the United States on a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship. Brian completed his undergraduate degree in International Affairs at The George Washington University and now lives in Brooklyn, NY.
